This is a nice, solid, dry semaphore car. Sold and licensed in Germany in 57, and brought here. booklets are in German. Odometer reads 40K and we believe it is original and correct
It has been in a front end acccident at one point, the hood and front fenders are incorrect,
Front of 1/4 panel has been replaced but not a butch job
hood has dents(filled) in lower side but is not cracked or creased from prop rod usage
All four fenders are nice and original, fronts are for an american car,
Battery pan area is nice, minimal surface rust, pans are nice, nice under pedals
Heater channels, A and B pillers are very nice, hardly surface rust
Original strato silver under the horrible yellow paint
engine runs good and stong, We didn’t even consider a compression test it ran so well,
original correct engine. Will need exhaust replaced
Rear apron and decklid are nice, no rust, tears or dents
doors close nice and solid, chrome on vent wings and post is nice
seats and door panels are in good shape, very few tears

THINGS THAT INPRESSED US WITH THIS CAR
this car has been sitting since the 90’s that we know of and
the emergency brake works as it should
front seats slid forward on their own with no assistance other than the spring thats still there!
idle and main jets were removed before starting, they were perfectly clean
still had a original VW Of America Tar battery plugged into it when we recieved it
Looks like a quick enough paint job that it would go back to original, wouldnt need much to make drive
